Manicures & Mocktails at Starboard Townhomes! Last week, Starboard Townhomes' beautiful outdoor courtyard was transformed into a pampering paradise for a fabulous Manicures & Mocktails event hosted by our Apartment Life coordinator, Alexandria, and Alicia Airy from In-Home Nails. Residents enjoyed complimentary luxurious manicures, which included a natural sea salt soak, nail shaping, cuticle care, an organic sugar scrub, and a soothing hand and arm massage with essential oils. While waiting for their turn, residents sipped on delightful mocktails, choosing between Blackberry Hibiscus and Cranberry Cosmo. Delightful snacks, including fresh fruit, crackers, pecan tarts, and madeleines, were provided to keep everyone's energy levels up. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, conversation, and appreciation for the lovely weather. A huge thanks to our fantastic community partners, In-Home Nails, the Robinson Family, and our Fenner Apartment Life coordinator, Dyanna, for making this event a success! We can't wait for more fun gatherings like this!

We had a wonderful time at our Bouquet Bar event at Aden Park and Ebbetts Plaza! It was heartwarming to see the beautiful bouquets crafted by mothers, along with the lovely arrangements made by their children, nieces, and granddaughters. Connecting with some of our new residents brought us great joy, and it was uplifting to hear about their positive experiences in our community. It was also wonderful to see some residents join in the festivities afterward, with thoughtful deliveries of flowers and self-care items. A heartfelt thank you to our Apartment Life coordinator and everyone who helped make this event so memorable!

What a wonderful way for Apartment Life to welcome spring with our fantastic residents! Our Spring Brunch & Tea Party at Crestwood Gardens brought everyone together in a warm and elegant setting. The community center was beautifully transformed with lovely spring decorations, creating a cozy atmosphere. Residents delighted in a delicious spread of brunch items, including pastries, fresh fruits, tea sandwiches, and cupcakes, along with refreshing coffee, lemonade, and sweet tea. Participation was fantastic, with residents happily mingling or grabbing food to go at their convenience. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive; many shared their excitement for upcoming events. Overall, the Spring Brunch & Tea Party was a tremendous success in building community connections. What a fantastic day we had at the Aden vs. Ebbetts soccer game! The atmosphere was buzzing with joy, and seeing so many happy faces in the crowd was heartwarming. Everyone had been eagerly counting down to this event, and the excitement was contagious as people gathered on the field. For those cheering from the stands, we offered a variety of engaging activities, including coloring and face painting, which turned out to be a big hit! Our Apartment Life coordinator made the most of the opportunity to connect with newcomers and share all the upcoming fun events. A big shout-out to one resident who recommended an awesome idea for a June event- how exciting! Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make this day so special and unforgettable!

CIG launched the Leadership Academy at the start of 2025. Using the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, by John Maxwell, our focus this month has been on The Law of Process. The main concept we are learning is that leadership develops daily, with learning and growth happening incrementally over time. With this in mind, the Management Team began a rotation of visits to each property, providing learning, specific to each property manager. These visits increased confidence in our daily operations and showed positive action steps toward applying The Law of Process for the benefit of all! We’re thrilled to share that the Cookout event at Fenner Gardens was a fantastic success! It was wonderful to see so many residents come together to enjoy delicious hot dogs, chips, and refreshing drinks. The atmosphere was filled with appreciation and joy as attendees took the opportunity to connect and meet new neighbors. There was no shortage of laughter and engaging conversations, all made possible by our amazing volunteers who came ready to love and serve our community. Last weekend at Blue Ridge Village, we had an amazing experience at the Pot-a-Plant Workshop led by our wonderful Apartment Life coordinator, Brittany! Even with the rainy weather, residents came together for a delightful afternoon filled with the joy of planting vibrant flowers and creatively painting pots. Brittany also brightened someone’s day by delivering flowers to a resident who couldn’t make it. It was a lovely reminder of our community spirit! Today, CIG held a productive meeting with Security Officer Donny, along with Justin and Tony from the IT team. The discussions focused on implementing advanced safety measures and strategically installing surveillance cameras across our properties to enhance security.
